The Charm of an Unsploit Location


We are in a wonderful area even if unknown, close to Siena in the beautiful countryside of Val di Merse Natural Park, on top of a hill which overlooks a unique view, designed by wide valleys, plunged from over a thousand olive trees and surrounded by forest, with a breathtaking view over the surrounding landscape.

The entire property (approximately 10 hectares) is completely fenced, to ensure greater privacy, and is surrounded by 30 hectares of forest that provide the silence and the utmost confidentiality.


Surrounding the property is a big garden where you can relax, read a book and it is so large and peaceful that usually no one have any problem with the others. There is also a double barbecue where you could cook our typical and very famous charcoal grilled steak named "Fiorentina", and some more covered terrace for your breakfast, lunch or evening meal.

We also have two lovely small villas (Ibis and Oca) which are in the heart of the wood, a little bit far from the main building. These cottages are really perfect and romantic for a couple of people who desire to be quiet alone.

Poggio al Palio has two outdoor swimming pools with water purification station to salt, where you can enjoy a splendid view over the beautiful Tuscan countryside, perhaps enjoy a glass of Tuscan wine.
For a total relaxation in the hot summer days as in the cool evenings of spring and autumn.

Poggio al Palio ensures maximum availability in caring for animals within the structure provided they are well educated, sociable and respectful of our space is that of the other guests of the structure.

Climatic Conditions


The climate, like all Italian inland areas, it is not easy classification. Very hot during July and August, and very cold from December to February, is mild and pleasant during the change of seasons.
